If we had to sell someone to get a few quid in the pot then I'd happily let it be flint to keep everyone else and get in 1 or 2 new players that Paolo feels we need

Keep Aden!

Bradford were probably offering washers and he's a valuable member of our squad even though he's not in the first 11 at the moment.

But still under 24., so we are entitled to a fee if he then leaves anyway.

Worth keeping him if Troy is out for a few months then as said above we would still get a fee if he leaves in the summer anyway.

Hopefully get a bit of a better offer and then sell him.

Only league 2/Conference standard at best.  Is ok in divisions where long ball is the norm, but up against teams who pass the ball and have a bit of pace, he doesnt cut it

I would sell providing we get a good fee. I think League 1 is his limit, he's not good enough with his feet to play at a higher level.

Think he's decent myself, but he's unfortunate in that you sometimes need an old head in there. Remember the Morrison/Cuthbert disaster.

Based on what I've seen I'd pick Flint ahead of TAH ever day of the week.

Nice to see we haven't gone back to accepting the first offer we get too.

Pragmatism says if we get 200k plus (yes, I do think he is worth that - others may not) then sell and get in a cheaper loan option as cover. Paolo sees him as 3rd or even 4th choice CB, and if we go up then that's likely go be even lower.

Ideally, for me we should keep him and develop him further. It's a myth that his distribution isn't up to scratch - Ward's career has been in the league above and his is almost at the same level. He's almost unbeatable on his day and just like were wrong to think Ritchie and Caddis couldn't step up, I think Flint could hold his own even in the Championship.

He'll be 24 in July.
Would it be possible for him to leave STFC at the expiry of his contract, become a free agent and then sign elsewhere when he's had his 24th birthday, in good time for the new season without any compensation being payable?
