Swindon Town's traditional colours are red shirts, white shorts and red socks. There have been a few variations on that theme but that is what they have worn far more often than any other strip.

Let's change that by wearing all red for the next 50 years.  Beers

You can imagine the conversation...

"what can we do to be liked"

"how about copying Sturrock's column, the fans would love that"

Its about time we had a decent brand sponsor us. If we want to be sen as a fairly big club we need to have a fairly big brand making our kits. And I dont want it done like your grimsbys who have nike kits but they are basically provided buy a sports shop. The sponsor ship should be direct with the company. granted they probably wouldnt pay as much, but Id guarentee we'd sell more kits due to brand association.

To be fair apart from that awful kit a few years ago, the dgi one they've all been reasonably respectable makes for a few years.  I'm certain Nike et al wouldn't touch us with a bargepole.  Since mizuno took over we've had 'name' makers, and perhaps the biggest name in lotto produced the poorest quality of shirt ever, the material was crap and the colour wrong.  The strikeforce/lonsdale deal has been OK and they've made some reasonably high profile kits for other clubs, if we want high profile I'm guessing it'll be JJB or something nasty like that.  I want errea, the kits they make are quite cool, and attainable at our level

I am liking the idea of a burberry check with ASBO on the front in place of the sponsor name

Nike produce kits for a lot of lower league teams, which either suggests that they have loads of cash for this sort of stuff OR the contracts aren't that great and the club are doing it cos the think the fans love Nike...

It's not Nike, its SportShop or something along those lines, who Nike happen to own. The proper Nike wouldn't touch League Two with a barge pole.
