This was taken from an interview on the radio at a recent home game, we were listening on the way home. It struck me that this scenario is rapidly becoming the direct replacement for over-spending. Some people whine & bitch about it not being fair on your rivals when a club's got a few good kids from top clubs, but that's complete bollocks. If you set your club up properly, ie secure financially, play proper football, good pitch, good manger/coaches etc, then develop relationships with big clubs by using your nous and away you go.

There's no reason why other clubs like us can't try this also, therefore it is not in any shape or form unfair. If we get ahead by doing this, then it's just because Fitton, Wilson et al were sharp & on the ball.

Just thinking about this, i'd be surprised if we weren't putting out feelers abroad for a similar setup, with the EU rules these days, no reason why not.

Must admit i thought european feeder/parent clubs had dried up lately?  Don't remember too many players moving regularly between the same clubs??  Unless of course you need to get a passport for an African or South American player then you just ship him off to Portugal, Norway or Belgium for a couple of seasons...

Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure i'm not dreaming! So we now have Liverpool, Man City and Celtic as our 'feeder' clubs. Some great players come in recenty, a stark contrast to a couple of seasons back when Malpas was signing nobodies!

I don't think there is an agreement with Liverpool just Man City & Celtic with Fitton suggesting that there is maybe 1 more to come
