I would have preferred it if they had sacked him after Saturdays game now we may get the new manager bounce even if it’s a temporary one😂

Wonder if they will try and offer Luke Williams mega dosh?  Sparky must have been on a good wedge. Kevin McDonald (not Kevin MacDonald) is caretaker.

Can’t see him wanting to go there. They’ll go for the fella at Gateshead - Williamson

With the sacking of Hughes, it appears to be more or less the end of the dinosaur manager. On paper Hughes would have been an exciting prospect at Valley Parade but seemingly he played dour, unexciting football which was boring the locals to tears. I'm not being ageist, but the older school manager does tend to be set in their ways whereas managers like Flynn, Luke Williams etc do appear to have embraced a more attacking, open mindset.

Mark Hughes can now go and play with John Sheridan in Dino World, at junction 26 off the M6.

He's another one, like Mark Hughes that tends to adopt a very boring defensive approach. It will be interesting to see if the shackles are removed whether Gills or Bradford improve.

Interesting to see where he rolls up, his managerial career to date has been a tour of obnoxious clubs!
