I think the new 343 shape is really interesting and watching us at barnet, back 3 aside, we were definitely showing a little more intent to use creative, technical players to their strengths. If we're going with that shape longterm, both Keshi and JG, Woolery too, should all come to the fore a little more.

I'm not sure three at the back will last long... it was a good gambit prior to Notts and Barnet, as neither will have had much time to think of countering it, because of Festive fixture rush, further it had a bit of a road test in the Boycott trophy. However there's a serious lack of pace in the 3, and massive holes in behind the WB's. Cooper ought to know how to unpick it, having watched other sides do it to his Town teams often enough.

Flitcroft said in his press conference today that he intends to continue with 3 at the back.

I have liked the shape of the team when we played 3 at the back, we have also looked a lot more solid.
Was never able to say that while Williams was here playing 3 at the back though.

TBF to Luke, 3 at the back isn't meant to have 3 donkey centre halves, but rather a libero... Hoddle being prime example, Ross MacLaren being a suitable type. Nathan could do it, and sometimes it worked OK, but it places such a heavy workload on the wingbacks, and Luke's side never had anyone remotely near good enough.

The Swindon transfer rumour twitter has stated Anderson permanent to be announced tomorrow or next week. Good news in my eyes and happy enough with that.

If I was Anderson, given the hype previously, I'd be pretty fucked off to end up at Swindon. He's got promise but he's not a teenager any more. There's something about him but he doesn't seem to have a great reading of the game. Probably why Town. He needs to kick on, amongst journeymen we need a couple of diamonds to polish. Lets hope it works. We could do worse.

I see that lot down the road signed Cameron Brannagan from Liverpool. Supposed to have been highly rated, turned down a loan with us last season and never played for Liverpool again after that.

I was hoping we would have a new body in by FGR and by that I mean a new body and not a loan made permanent.
Need three to make a fist of promotion IMO...
