Anybody got a 12 month sim only deal through O2 or Vodaphone through Uswitch as they are offering really good deals and was wondering if there are any hidden catches and what happens when the contract is up do they put the price or do they stay the same

Just do it yourself and either leave or negotiate a new tariff when your contract is up. Go via Quidco and get cashback for doing so. I'd advise you avoid 3 though as I found their coverage abysmal and ditched them after 3 months so took a hit in the pocket. Having no signal forced my hand. Was with Vodafone for 20 odd years before them trouble free. Cheapest tariff isn't always best. Now with Tesco who use O2's masts so coverage is decent I've found so far.

I was with BT for what I think was a few weeks and I’d recommend avoiding them like the plague. I got it cheap with my broadband and they charge 10p per MB for data over your allowance. Fucking robbers.

Went straight back to o2 and have 5GB (I think) unlimited everything else for £11.

I've been sim only with 3 for years. Currently paying around £11 a month for unlimited calls/texts and 4Gb data. I've never paid more than £15 a month

I'm on 3, which I know Arriba dislikes as a traveling man for reasons of signal loss.

However for me, it's been fine. But I'm in Swindon and (pre-covid) Chippenham mostly.

£16 month unlimited data/text/minutes (usually get this price in black Friday). Mrs B has 8gb for £8 month (deal through u-switch)

Vodafone has been consistently good for me, due to getting friends and family discount I'm paying £14 for unlimited everything and did have Spotify for free for the first 12 months. You have to be careful with their data plans as some of speed is capped on certain tarrifs but should still be more than enough.

I've also used ID mobile which runs off the 3 network and that was decent. A lot cheaper than most other deals.

GiffGaff the 4g speed was shocking, it felt like I might as well used WAP at certain times. Signal and everything else was fine though.

Generally the contract just carries on until you are able to and want to cancel.

EE for me, changed from 3 who went to shit in busy spots, like Paddington, when the internet is more welcome, not less.

EE have been great, £15 a month I think.

I'm on a monthly contract with Voxi at the moment. They're currently doing 12GB of data for £12/month with endless social media. Or if you go for 15GB it's £15/month with endless social media and video (including YouTube, Prime, Netflix...)

I had the same tariff as your Mrs. If it works for you then it's a very good price. I had issues from the outset unfortunately. Even in my own home I relied on WiFi for a signal in an apparently strong signal area. For data I found it almost useless in many places I went. I now pay 2 quid more for Tesco for the same data, calls, texts as I did with 3 and it's been great so far.

I get that mate, just saying in some circumstances they are fine.

I do have a signal issue in the house. But I did with Voda/EE too when I was with them.

Not disputing that or saying you're wrong fella. Their tarrifs are very good. Just didn't work for me. Take as you find as with everything I say.
