I don't have a great deal of time for him but he shaking things up a bit and irritating much of the press which is not a bad thing.

This is a good read on media lens, about the orchestrated backlash against him in the media.

Didn't expect to read all that, or like it, but that was superb and engrossing. I'll be buying his book to finally read something with an opinion not based around voting red or blue (or yellow or green or purple).

Have to say my respect for Russell Brand has grown in the last week or two.  The action/reaction of the lemmings has encouraged me to listen a little more closely to what he has to say.  A lot of it makes a lot of sense.

If you put personal feelings towards Brand aside, he makes some good points.

Careful. Sounds like she might take the opportunity to change the locks.

Remember when we sold Swansea shirts with our badge on it, Coventry have gone one better:

John Lewis's Christmas ads. Last years with the lonely bear was good and this year's with penguins is even better.

You seen the Sainsury's one? A take on the Christmas truce from the 1st World War, very good.

Or a very cynical way to sell more mince pies... Not sure that commemorating a bloody tragedy is best done by a supermarket advert...

Make of it what you will, but in my opinion has been done very well and not distasteful at all.
Perhaps not the most suitable subject for a supermarket to use in an advertising campaign, granted.
