Excuse me WB, not all of us legged it.
That's what I thought Reg, I was in the Shrivvy and just watched. They looked like they changed there minds when the town fans on the bank stood and stared. One fella at the front of the Shrivvy took a few on by himself

I think the Leicester thing was a bit half hearted. Quite a few got on the pitch and ran across to the Shrivvy. Looked a bit threatening at first but a few at the front of the Shrivvy got on the pitch and swung at them. A few more at the front of the Shrivvy had a bit of a scuffle and the Leicester fans just walked off. Not many Swindon ran away because you couldn't with the crowd - probably did us a favour actually. The stewards ran faster than the Leicester fans.

Yeah, a few stood their ground in the Shrivvy to trade with the invaders. I stood on the Bank in those days and it was still possible to leave at the end via the side of the pitch. Had to move a but sharpish when some of their lot moved towards us. Remember one town fan picking up an advertising hoarding for self defence, just in case. I think Leicester did the same at their next away game as well. A far cry from today's sanitised atmosphere & cardboard clappers in the PL.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

It was the first game of the 91-92 season, it finished 0-0, i remember them coming on to the pitch.
They decorated the Rat Trap before the game

October 17th 1992 Swindon town 5-1 Notts County
5th in Lg 2 and an attendance of just 7,589. A week or 2 later we shared the points at St James Park (the north easterly one) in a beautiful 0-0

My boys' first game: STFC 1-1 OldhamAged just 4 & 3 at the time. It was about a month after Di Canio flounced off, and we still managed a 10k gate vs Oldham (who probably didn't bring many).

Mine was Swindon 0 - 2 Ipswich at the County Ground in Dec 1997.
A young Kieron Dyer ran the show and I got his autograph in the car park afterwards!
