Turnbull's hardly the blood and thunder CB that Brown's reportedly after.  I thought Turnbull would develop during his stint at Swindon as he initially looked promising, but he didn't.  He's good on the ball at this level and has a good fitness record.  Unfortunately, he's a defender who can't defend.

I've said it a couple of times now but I still think Anton Ferdinand would be a good signing. Not involved again for Southend on the weekend.

Still reckon it could be Byron Webster from Millwall. Coming back from the same injury Conroy had. Could be playing tonight in the EFL Cup.

Apparently according to the Sarfend forum he hasn't been seen at the club since July when he was told he was surplus to requirements, I too have suggested a few times that he could be a target but I guess it comes down to what PB thinks he can give us and what wages he is actually on.

Also Sarfend were asking a transfer fee for him which I doubt we will pay. Said to be one of the higher earners (including bonuses) at Roots Hall so I expect wages could also be a stumbling block for us.

I wonder if Tayler Moore a CB from Bristol Shitty who has been told he can go out on loan, England U20 international was on loan at Cheltenham last season is a target.

Starting tonight. I'd be surprised & very pleased if it was him but think he's too good for this level! Then again, I'd have said the same about Doughty & Diagouraga!!

£690 a week if you believe what his solicitor said in court.

Apparently thats his basic wage which is why I put high earner "including bonuses" in my statement, said to be on a large appearance fee which is why hes not even been on the bench at all this season, he is also said to have been banished from the training ground recently too and is training with the youths.

I’d hate to think we actually get 2 CBs - cos that means Conroy is right royally fucked

I reckon we won't be seeing much of Conroy again. Hope I'm wrong.

*waits for a TEF regular to appear to gloat how he predicted in pre season that Conroy would struggle to regain form following injury*

In other news, I enjoyed reading the comments on FB about Forest Green signing a defender from the Championship, something that is apparently beyond us according to those who post on there. Didn’t we sign a Millwall defender on loan? Last time I checked, they were in the Championship..
