When we had a 1 hour wait for our food in there once I went up to complain that the steak had in fact arrived cold and uncooked.  Got to the bar waiting for someone to complain to and found a small queue had formed for the same purpose.  The bloke in front of me then completely lost it and tried jumping over the bar ranting that not only had the service been shit, the food wrong and the wait too long, but while he'd been up to chase the order someone decided to clean his table and took his pint and packet of fags!!!!!

It was cracking entertainment and they just gave everyone else whatever they wanted after that, although replacement food was not best advised.

Only drink there now when we take Shannon on a sunny day, even that is an effort.

I went through a spell last year where I had 4 meals out in a month and ended up getting all of them free due to bad service.

Going back to the off topic before this thread got on topic again, me and ash had lot's of fun in the merlin in the end. He remembered that he'd trashed every other pub's toilets whilst he was driving towards them, and was too afraid to go back. He's one crazy drunk.
