Before Hartlepool someone told me he was definitely staying and sounded very convinced. He said it was due to loyalty to Clem more than anything.

Yea, he will be here next season.

I think it’ll be under a different manager and DoF though.

Just another day ain’t it.

Pathetic club. Clowns running it.

Huge respect to anyone giving up the bank holiday going today - the club don’t deserve you.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Austin is manager by the end of next season

The players adore Austin, even if you just want to go off the way players speak about him post/pre game and the impact he has. If he wants to stay, he will outlast any manager imo.

Fingers crossed. At this stage I wouldn’t mind a few defeats if it helps clear the managerial cobwebs.

Fair play to all of those travelling.  Not just another probable wasted day, another fortune spent on tickets and fuel plus the usual bank holiday traffic to contend with.
Big round of applause from me - loyal supporters.

Pretty poor management dropping the captain and then telling him he isnt even travelling. Surely would be beneficial to have him there even if not playing?

To be fair if he’s signed a new contract I’d give Austin the rest of the season off definitely in terms of away matches and give him a personal fitness program so he’s in the best possible shape for next season. Pointless risking any long term injuries with him now.

Alternatively, good management to let him stay at home, rest & get treatment on an injury rather than sit on a bus for several hours for no reason.

I have no idea which is true, I guess it just depends on how you want to frame it.

I would question why a source close to him would need to mention it to Ryan Whelan.
