Maybe it was a one off, because I've heard him on sport bulletins on RS.

Thought he was taking time off after the birth of his first child - which is why he was not on the radio he didn't want to get a call in the middle of a commentary that he had to get to the matternity ward
Dunno how it worked with yours, but I've found with both my kids that you're not usually required at the maternity ward after the child's born. At least only for a few hours, not months after!

I prefer the old chap on the radio, than Ed's / Phil King boring opinions. God, they can send you a sleep

Each to their own. I quite like the Hadwin/King combo. And I can't think of any circumstances under which I'd put my old chap on my radio. But what you do in the privacy of your own home ....

I also quite like the Hadwin/King combo. I don't mind hodgetts either though.

Mark O'Donnell is the new superstar of Saturday's coverage. He's ace.

What fb/Batch/jj said. Radio Swindon sports coverage overall is pretty good - we're quite lucky when you listen to some other local radio commentary

God yeah, the local one down here, BBC Somerset is bloody awful, Geoff Friggin twentyman blowing smoke up gasheads and shitty as well as being dire listening.

Everyone's jumping on my O'Donnell loving bandwagon now. I think he's ace to listen to. I just became friends with Hugh McGovern in recognition of my logging into facebook for the first time in weeks.

He played Convoy as the mystery option the other week.

Which leads me to this question to Leefer and Arriba. What the hell is a "cab over Pete with a reefer on"?

Ha ha, and also "eleven long-haired friends of Jesus in a chartreuse microbus". What a lyric!
