I wonder if letting (say) children under 12 in free at all times would be a good idea. It gets them interested at an early age, when perhaps otherwise their parents couldn't afford to bring them. Also from my experience the club would make some money out of it on half time chips and drinks (compulsory request behavior!)
All the same it's a good promotion.

Under 7's (I think?) get in free anyway.
Not a bad shout though, that's a good age to get kids interested in football for nothing.

Toying with the idea of bringing my eldest to his first game. He's 4, been to loads of Ice Hockey games so he can sit and watch games for an extended period (but naturally his mind wanders every now and then) he keeps asking to see Swindon play for real when I'm playing fifa 14...

My daughter was 4 first time. As long as there are sweets involved you'll be on a winner

Mine were both 4 when I first took them. They've both developed crushing psychological disorders as a result. Or possibly due to having me as a Dad. One of the two. Either way, bring him along, he'll love it.

Took my step daughter to her first league game a couple of weeks ago - the Sheffield Utd game. She's 10 and I was worried she'd be bored - she loved it. She couldn't believe how exciting it was at the end. I warned her it's not always like that - she can't wait for Monday.

Do it, our son was just over 3 when we took him to his first game.
He's 18 now & despite living up here still comes to games with us.
