Caused 5 mile tailbacks on the M4 apparently. I've noticed the lights when approaching from Basset Down go green for about 3 cars then change back to red

The thing is, to go to Bassett from Swindon or the M4 slip road you now need to head to Wroughton and the lane then splits. People were missing this and having to go right round the roundabout, causing it to jam up.
And the only sign that pointed out this change was on the roundabout itself. Pointless.

J16 was a complete clusterfuck this morning. Maybe if they actually put some new signage well in advance of the roundabout the indicate the layout changes, instead of just posting it on social media.
Absolute carnage. So easy to miss the one sign, and even if you didn't its as you said - too late. Bloody hope it settles down in a few days, think I'll go the back roads tomorrow.

A woman at my work has to "work from home" today because of the snow.
I suppose that would be fair enough if there was any......
Depends where she lives, it's snowing in Bracknell and points east toward that London, apparently

So the Bassett traffic now has to get in the Wroughton lane on the roundabout? Stupid. So the 2 lanes to the right are for the M4 Brizzle turn?

Although presumably it's balmy in Siberia as we've got their weather. So no excuses for those commuting from Kamkatchka

Reading to Reading. There has been some very, very light snow this morning but nothing to get afraid of. She's getting absolutely rinsed for it now too! Worst thing is, she actually came in and THEN went home!

Perhaps she forgot the snow chains and shovel?

What the actual.... And management are OK with this? Mind you last time I worked from home when it snowed (stuck for half a day) I ended up shovelling the County Ground pitch, pretending I didn't know who Paul Bodin was (I think it was him, he had a hat on and by the time I realised it was too late ) and trying to avoid getting snapped by the Adver. Previous job of course.

2 hours to get from J15 to J16 this morning Looked pretty horrendous J17->J16 too - a few miles of slow/stationary traffic for sure.
