According to the Adver site, some national papers have said we will sign him.

If this is the same player, interesting that he broke his foot while at Barnsely.  How is it that players go to Barnsley and break their feet?

I like the sound of him, few mixed reports but no nonsense utility man that grabs a few goals to boot.

Will certainly add some depth to the squad.

Any word on those trialists?  Itching to know who the Senegalese player was.

According to ESPN the Tranmere (Nottingham Forest) Gary Jones is a forward (back up striker).

Seen the Screws and it's the Tranmere chap.

Few bits courtesy of Inter_Yema_STFC on the Rovers site…

Solid but not spectacular, nearly moved on late in the last season only to break his toe.
The one thing about him though that used to amaze me is that when he used to jump for the ball, players over a foot shorter would beat him.

glady..although a local lad and a decent servant to the club the man is frustratingly slow and your great grandmother has more spring when challenging for a header. His ability at one on ones is the worst i've ever seen and he is currently low on confidence..good signing Smiley

totally agree with whats just been said in the last 2 message`s.. his best best spell 4 us was when he played centre half!

Not good enough for us in the end.Although tall Gary couldn't beat someone half his size in the air.And hasn't got much skill either, also he runs like hes got a car strapped to each leg.Gary's main point is his versatility!

Thats about it-however he was a good servant and played 350 plus games(i think) for the Super whites

Player profile, no mention of being able to play as back up goalkeeper (he plays everywhere else).

As he hasn't played for Barnsley, broken foot is not applicable.

6'3", 14 stone, it looks like Matt Heywood has been replaced, or maybe not!

Impact at Forest was not great.

So, anyone think that Rory Fallon will be on his way.

According to trannies, as I posted on another thread (I forget which) despite being 6'3" he is cack in the air and is slower than a week in prison.  Sad
