I understand from their website that they are selling tickets from 9am on Monday, the day of the game. Anyone know if i'd have to prove some form of Charlton membership please? I hope to be at The Valley 11-30am so with any luck there'll be a few still on sale, then off on the lash in Central London until kick-off. It's going to be tough containing my emotions amongst their lot but I ain't missing this one - could be a famous night!

They're on sale today at the CG and on the phone.  I went down at 8.30 am this morning expecting a queue for the 9.00 am opening and there was only 1 other person waiting.   Got 2 tickets and the chap said there was about 390 remaining.  Not sure how many they would have sold since?

Problem is I live in Bournemouth and reliant on public transport it's not possible for me to get up there today. I am actually staggered that as many as 400 or so tickets are still available. I thought they were going to be snapped up within a day of going on general sale, and therefore I didn't even consider heading up to Swindon last week, a move I now very much regret.

Also surprised Charlton are selling on the day of the game, though I guess that's subject to how many they shift this weekend. I could deal with quietly willing us on whilst sat among there fans but nothing like being in with your own. Do you think it possible there may be Town fans with spares in the local pubs in the hour or two before kick-off?

Thanks for your assistance guys

Not sure if you'll get any spares, but if you ask nicely then you might find a Swindon-based TEFer who will pick one up for you from the County Ground?

I was going to offer to pick it up if you ring up and pay for it, but I'm not sure if they'd ask for ID for you?  Seem to remember someone on here having that problem earlier in the week when they tried to collect a ticket on behalf of someone else?

Thanks for the offer Jo but I suspect they'll require my ID, like you say. I think my best hope is to keep an eye on here and see if anyone has over purchased and is looking to shift an extra away ticket, arranging to meet up with them pre-match. Failing that, keep my gob shut and not let my emotions flow sat in their section   Sad

You could at least try ringing and see what they say - they may even be able to get your ticket down there for you to pick up

I'll give that a go guys, can't do any harm after all. I'll certainly be in touch STFCinBournemouth. As things are i'm all set to catch the early London-bound coach from the Interchange, straight to The Valley's commercial centre, then back into Central London to meet my niece for the first time. Should be a very memorable day, especially if later we can secure the desired result. Quelling my urge to roar from within if we make Wembley will be essential if I want to avoid getting battered and bruised. At least I can mingle with fellow Swindon fans in the pub beforehand, anyone know where we're gathering? Last time it was somewhere called the Rose of Denmark I think?

If you ask really nicely they sometimes send tickets down with the supportres coaches.  You just need to speak to the SAS chaps about arranging it I think, I've certainly known it happen before.

Decent suggestion but i'm afraid of the scenario that the above poster refers to. If I get my ticket for the Charlton ends in the morning from their commercial centre I thought I could do the following: get into the ground early and play it all naive, approach a steward and say I had mistakenly bought a ticket in the wrong end. He/she would then escort me to the away end or, and here's where it is a risky approach, turf me out the ground.
