Histon 2-1 up at Stevenage, could go top of the Conference tonight.

Who have they got at home on Saturday?

Oxford United!!!

Grays were beating Carlisle at home, but the floodlights have died and it's been abandoned. Heartbreak for Grays, a long way home for Carlisle having to do it again!

Give it time, standard isn't much different anyway it's all dire shit. We'll probably be non existent soon any way, we're just spiraling around the plug hole. Eek

Yeah but our dire shit has a bit of quality. Granted we lost to Histon, but if they are the best the conference has to offer it's really saying something. Ugly, ugly football.

If Oxford were in the southern hemisphere would they gurgle down the plug whole the other way round?

One round later and out they go, this time to 10 man Torquay - shame.

FA Cup is equally mega important for all clubs. If any of the Conference teams get a money spinner in Round 3 it makes a significant difference.

We lost to Histon and I think our exit was far worse but the fact Oxford have missed the opportunity of said money spinner heals some wounds I guess.

Definitely. The best example of it is when the Man U draw (and draw) basically saved Exeter. As lower league clubs get their finances in order (as in not have chairmen who'll keep the gate receipts), the first few rounds of the FA cup will become more and more important. Which to be honest is fucking brilliant. Good to have an important cup competition. Getting a good 3rd round draw (and even if you don't you've got a better chance next round) is like the champions league of the lower divisions.

I consider that to be a cracking draw, means they have a great chance to get through to the 4th round.

Well yeah, I did think that as I posted it. But Blackpool are a pretty decent team. Good win at Plymuff yesterday. You want your pay day really ASAP!
