have we switched to a back three to match Coventry?

caddis seems quite far forward

I think he’s just to tired to get back.  Smiley

DJ misses a tap in from a Tyler cross. Offside anyway. Poor on both counts. Front 3 are flames, or something.

Coventry fans already saying Grant is the best player on the pitch and just the sort of player they need.

HT.  1-0. Really good tempo for the first 35 and we grew into it.

RW should be very happy with that. Front 3 look lively and complement each other nicely. Odimayo and Baxter have done everything they need to do.

Only one who looks a little off it is Caddis.

Enjoyed that 1st half we more than matched Coventry all over the pitch, the keeper doesnt fill me with confiidence, poor distribution and doesnt come for crosses much, still early though.

I though Smith took his goal well and looks lively, very similar in style to Yates.

DJ, Grant and Payne all look a class above anything Coventry have.

Very happy with that performance so far. Caddis has porked up a bit.

I take it you mean their keeper - not ours?

1-0 HT

Baxter looks to cover angles well. One brace save. Played mostly outside 18 yards box. One only panicked and fluffed clearance.

DJ looks good.

Payne looked lovely.

Grant was up for it and was my MOM (first half)

Centre back from Reading looked calm. Seemed to play a bit deeper than Baudry.

Caddis involved lots but looks chunky.

Smith. Ummmm. Has an understanding with DJ already. Heavy touch and looked a bit laboured to me. But always in and around the right areas.

very enjoyable half.

no doubt Coventry started the more composed, but we created the better chances and grew into the game the longer it went on.

Dj, Payne and Smith all look to have something - played well together..

great to see Grant back. doing Grant things. Lyden and doughty quieter.

caddis off the pace, but Frenchie and the reading guy look decent.

Baxter took one cross and made a good save almost one on one.

one area of concern, we look terrible defending corners.

but as we know, the only thing you learn from pre-season is you can't really learn anything from pre-season
