For any slightly "older" people on here who like some football nostalgia, i read about this magazine in the paper at the weekend. http://www.backpassmagazine.co.uk/index.htmlI like my nostalgia so will be getting myself a copy.

I don't mind a bit of a wallow in nostalgia.....wont get it though. I used to have a collection of Foul magazine from the early 70's....but lost them sometime ago when moving around. Picked up a compilation book of The Best of Foul a while back, which had been done in the early 90's, by some fanzine types. I recall finding Foul funny in the 70's...but now it seemed very serious in criticism of the games hierarchy. Can't work out why that should be.

I like the nostalgia but only because I don't really remember it. That means I can imagine players from before the first world war wore top hats and stuff. Moving on to Trilbies and Fedoras as fashions changed. Maybe one of those deer thingy hats and a pipe on the go if you were in goal.
Didn't Arthur thingy Doyle (the dude who wrote Sherlock Holmes) play in goal for Brentford or something?

Bumping this thread purely because i got the latest edition in the post today and there's a nice 3 page feature on John Trollope. There's also a two page interview with Ken Beamish although we get the slightest of mentions in that not surprisingly.
It's an excellent magazine anyway if like me you're a bit older! and like the nostalgia stuff......

Another bump for this, as the latest edition arrived in the post today.
There's a 4 page interview with Mike Summerbee, a 2 page interview with Don Rogers, and a feature on HTV's coverage in which we get mentioned quite a bit...
A good read as ever, highly recommended if you're an old git like me!
