No names, but up to 8.
I hope that doesn't mean we are keeping 9

Likewise - particularly if the 8 released include Devine, Uwakwe, Clayton and Adeloye, as that would only leave 4 who have contributed significantly to the tripe we’ve seen since Christmas. I suspect Brann could be one leaving, as Evans was on the bench last weekend.

That not show how much money we’re wasting with wages though? 4 players there who offer nothing to the club, could be filled with 2 experienced players, suddenly the squad would look a lot better just from that..

Yes - agree it shows how badly gambling on players with a poor injury record can impact. My point was we still need to get rid of a big group of those who have played.

I’d say it’s largely irrelevant. If those players weren’t here they’d just have decreased the budget further. No chance if those players weren’t here that budget would have been reinvested, it would have just accelerated the cost cutting.

He might have stayed under different circumstances. From player of the season last to a cog in a badly performing defence. Don't think he was overly fond of the man in the dugout and seeing the captaincy given to a rookie keeper probably won't have gone down well.

I wonder if there will be some off the field rumour go about, a la Angus MacDonald before he left to go to Aberdeen. Then we see McGurk released before joining Charlton/Wigan.

Surely, there has to be off the field stuff going on with him. It’s the only explanation. He’s such a good prospect otherwise!

Yeah he was absolutely brilliant when he first came in and then literally has barely involved. He could have been struggling with fitness/injury of course but unfortunately as with everything at STFC something doesn't quite sit right. If we kick off next season without Glatzel/McGurk in the squad there are certainly issues (well, we knew that already)

Thinking it's contractual somehow and we can't afford him.
Who knows. May just not have settled moving south

On the 'bright' side a further 12 months service must be a record for one of our player of the season winners. This year's left four months ago which is taking the piss even by our high standards.
