With Smith, Gurney, Platt and Miglioranzi all ahead of him, would it not make sense to send him on loan? Save us some cash and get him match fit/into some form. Stick a 24 hour recall clause in just in case.

Agreed, it makes sense.  I am a bit baffled with him, he had a very poor start then just wehn I thought he had found form and fitness he got injured and hasn't had a look in since.  Could it go beyond football reasons/

Perhaps his injuries have been holding him back because he seems to have disappeared recently. If he is fit then a loan deal would seem appropriate.

he is a good player who is yet to perform for us. under iffy he hasn't really had a chance. he would be a useful back up player for us, especially if migz leaves in the summer

I'd like to believe hes still a good player, but theres not really much evidence to support that.

Hes on a 2 year deal isnt he? Thats got "mutual termination" written all over it in the summer.

He is on a three year deal. I can't see him being here next year. Shame we never seen him at his best.

If he's on anything over a 12 month deal, loan him out. If he's only on a season long deal............well he's probably played his last game I would have thought.

It's a shame if it does not work out. Whoever pulls on the red shirt, I want to see them do well and I'm sure Whalley is a good player.

I reckon he would suite are team more now we played a bit more football. He was never suited to lump and hoof was he, kind of like Cureton. There is a decent player in there, just not suited to our then style....tis all changed now. He might just shine
