Apologies if this has been covered already but as a person who is 50/50 on whether or not to renew our season tickets would it not be an idea for the club to offer some kind of incentive.

I hear rumours of shocking season ticket sales so surely it makes sense.

I think if they did a weeks offer at the early bird pricing again I would probably go for it.

Anyone else think the same ?

Yup. Early bird. If they now repeat that offer to attract more latecomers, I promise not to demand a refund/additional discount/special hat

I was hoping more for some kind of straw boater with a snazzy red and white ribbon on it. Or possibly a mysterious looking homburg. But I don't think the budget would stretch to that.

I think we all get frustrated by the fannying around sometimes

I think we all get frustrated by the fannying around sometimes, but surely even that is better than hoofball and when it does come off it is a delight to watch.

At the start of the season Swindon were doing a lot of tip tappy football and at times it was pleading to watch with chances happening. Towards the end the tippy tapping was taken to another level, with no sense if urgency going forward and little chances from all of it. I think a lot of the damage was cause at the end if the sdmdason the court case has not helped. Losing ranger was right but also a loss. Williams is now our best chance and he will be gone by the end of the season as he is in high wages and only has this season to see out his contract. I have suprisingly renewed my ticket but I'm not holding out much hope. Smith is like a rubber ball everything jut bounces off him and Williams misses lots of chances and that was when we were creating lots. Hope I'm wrong.

Was in yesterday picking up my lad's shirt (despite moaning about the cost!) Apparently the only reason we've had to get new season ticket cards done this season was because the old ones all have that myworld stuff all over them and the club don't own that, JedCo do. Nice one, one of the few things they actually did right while they were here and we don't even own that! And it ends up costing us extra to redo all the season ticket cards.

Any idea when we might get them?

In case anyone cares, my Season ticket arrived in the post today.

Shame they don't still have the shift options , working  12 hr shifts 3 on 3 off,plays havoc with try to get to the majority of the games without using to much leave.

This is from 12 years ago when the tickets in the Arkells and Nationwide (now DRS) were £410 !!

Myth.

Best season for season ticket sales was the year Fitton dropped the prices to rock bottom, even then they didn't hit the 6k barrier that had been hoped for.

Season ticket prices have now returned to normal but sales are much stronger than the year before that Fitton deal, so all is well in relative terms.  The Di Canio promotion season brought in roughly the same number of fans as the Wise/Sturrock effort.  Maybe you are referring to press passes instead?

1,400 isn't an exact figure and a few people would like to rewrite history on the DiCanio years.

No, the Myth was your assertion that we'd struggle to get back the fans Di Canio brought in, like we've lost a glut of them.  I pointed out that we haven't lost any and that Di Canio didn't bring many if any through the turnstiles (backed up by the fact Sturrock's promotion season was as good in attendance terms and previous seasons had far bigger season ticket sales).  I'm not having a pop at Di Canio, merely providing data to assert you talk shit.  Season ticket sales does not equal our attendance.  We've averaged 8,000 + in the past off the back of just over 2k season ticket sales.  Our recent high level of season ticket holder volumes is off the back of Fitton's deal, so was bound to decline over time without a change in fortunes or holding at those crazy low prices.

Well, what a cunt I am. I was so convinced that I wasn't going to renew. I even looked at going to the odd Supermarine or Cheltenham game but I've just spent a week with an obnoxious Brentford fan who's forgot about their past. I was so pissed off that on getting back to Swindon I went to the County Ground and bought a season ticket. I still think others have gone and will quickly find other things to do.
