I'm surprised this hasn't happened any sooner. Probably because nobody offered enough previously.

Looks like I'm in the minority (of 1) but I would prefer ground names not to be sponsored.

It's about the first thing we've done with the ground in 20 years. So fair play.

It's a shame that we didn't do a deal with Mars.
We could have called it the Bounty County ground.

Well I can't wait for my next trip to the Energy Plus.
Can't even remember what the place used to be called. Power of advertising.

The only time it has real value, beyond big clubs with huge TV exposure, is when a ground has never had a name before. That actually leads to some oddities I find, like still calling Huddersfields ground the McAlpine, and haven't Bolton renamed the Reebok?

I remember thinking it seemed presumptuous of Stoke to call their new stadium the 'Britannia'. It was only later that I realised that there was a building society involved.

And the RCMP. The Mounty Bounty County Ground.

"There have been so many positive changes at Swindon Town, and this partnership will see us associated as part of their growing success." What fucking growing success? Have I missed something? I suppose he can't say we got it dirt cheap from a club that has gone right down the shitter over the past 3 seasons.
