This used to be a problem for me back in my younger days, until i reached 18/19 when it sudddenly didn't affect me one summer. Happy days, i thought...  Cool

...but low and behold, a few years later the bastard thing's back, and i'm really suffering.  A piraton, clarityn and Boots own offering yesterday did nothing to relieve my constant sneezing, streaming eyes and itchy throat.  :x

How does everyone else deal with this pollen-induced hell?  Crying

I used to suffer when I was in my teens, none of the over-the-counter type stuff worked at all.

Went to the doc and he prescribed some pills, you take them daily and they take about a week to kick in properly. Your tolerence builds up towards it and hey presto - no hayfever all summer.

(but I can't remember what the pills are called, so I've been no help to you whatsoever)

get the allergy injection.
Not all doctors do it though but demand it cos you have tried everything and it's fucking you off etc.

I have had it a few times and it works a treat. By the time i walked out the doctors i could feel my nose clearing up and within an hour it was all gone. Lasts for six months too.

it's a bitch bastard pollen soaked time dave - I aint been so bad for years. I usually take ceterizine cos the loretidine one makes me fall zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz - damn must have taken the wrong one.
Someone recommended the Benadryl one (that's got acrivistine in it) and someone else recommended the inhaler Flixonase. I haven't taken either of those yet (more expensive I think).
Just don't go outside!!! Good luck.

Basically, live with it.  I've had it a few summers (never got it when I was younger) and you just have to be a man about it.  I've tried everything and nothing works for longer than a week, but the saving grace is it's gone by mid-July I think.  The one thing that does work apparently are the steroid injections but I don't think you can take them regularly - it's for if you've got an exam or something.
