Talking of people being dropped, I'm surprised how sparingly Benyon has been used by all 3 managers this season. Hasn't looked amazing in the games I've seen him in, but as our one out and out goalscoring striker it doesn't bode well that no one seems to rate him enough to have given him an extended run in the side.

Hopefully League 2 is just his level and he'll bang them in for us next season.

I found the language used when we signed Benyon a bit strange too. Probably reading things that weren't there but IIRC there were words like 'hopefully he'll make the step up'. Made it sound like they weren't sure about him in the first place.

It seemed at the time he was very much a Plan B.  The deal went through late and only after several other deals (Joe Mason and apparently Billy Kee) fell through.  Danny didn't seem delighted with his capture either did he?  

A fully fit Pavett will score goals for us in League Two. Mark my words.

Well according to one of the posts above from Mark Hanrahan he could prove to be a decent player, so who knows.

To be fair I've got a mate who played for Hungerford and said Austin was complete wank when we signed him.

Even if he isn't much cop there's no doubt he would've improved a hell of a lot after 6 months training with a professional club. I don't really think it's fair to make such sweeping statements based on the comments of 'a mate'.

And I believe that Mark H has actually seen him play therefore I know who I'm more inclined to listen to.

I was talking to one of the guys from the ticket office a few months ago, he said Paolo doesn't rate Pavett at all and doesn't even allow him to train with the 1st team.
Don't know if there is any truth in this, just what I heard.

One of the lads I play footy with is mates with Billy Bodin. He told me that Billy thinks he's an awful player. Mind you this was back in the summer. You never know things might have changed.

Think you are probably correct. Remember the one that they did on Sky where the winner got contracts at Chelsea and Inter Milan (I think it was). Did these guys ever make it in football?

Think both the Chelsea players have since been released and are playing non-league.

Ben Greenhalgh is still at Inter Milan I think and doing quite well in their youth team, although there wassn't much info about his progress last I checked
