Watched The Monsters Ball last night...aint seen it before, weird and depressing but Billy Bob Thornton was as menacing as ever...great actor.
That bit where his son says "you always hated me didn't you?" and hes like "yeah" then the son says "well I always loved you" and blows himself away. (sorry to give away the plot a bit there!)

Finally watched Der Baader Meinhof Komplex last night and probably loved it a bit too much. Despite it being the best part of two and a half hours long, it really doesn't get boring. If anything it feels like they tried to cram in too many 'attacks' and probably rushed German Autumn a bit much and as such failed to convey its impact.
The film was made even more special by Baader using the word 'Fotze' every 2 minutes.
If subtitles don't put you off, I thoroughly recommend it.

I've failed you all. I liked the film, even if it was a bit too dark in some places for my pink fluffy mind. It had a happy ending though, so everythings allright at the end

Watched the Departed on HBO but missed the start and it was heavily, heavily cut and didn't make much sense to me. Set in Boston which I hope to visit in November to see friends.
Also watch The Saint with Val Kilmer - Elisabeth Shue was hot back in the day. Perfectly harmless film.

It was mentioned further into the thread, but i saw Tropic Thunder at the weekend, and although not in the remotest a fan of Tom Cruise, he was hilarious. Never thought i would say it was worth watching a film just for his performance, but this is.

Ace film! Considine's best. The bit where he's dancing for the OAP's in genius.
