The media seems be turning this into the Ronaldo v Messi contest.
Newsflash: They've been doing it for about a decade.

Eagle at Little Coxwell...
Did he have a signed photo of Robin Friday hanging on the wall?

agree it was a great game, Mexico should have scored more, the ITV commentary team have got all upset because the Swiss have scored, the brazilian wankfest has been put on hold

I did apart from the moronic commentators using hernandez's nickname as many times as possible.

I’m enjoying this tournament a lot more than previous years. It’s good to see the fancied nations struggling to beat the lesser sides. It gives me hope England could get a few decent results.
Looking forward to tomorrow now, Southgate hasn’t put a foot wrong yet and even the press don’t seem as keen to rip into players before a ball has been kicked as much as usual. I think a lot of that is down to Southgate making all 23 of the squad accessible to the press and letting them ask what they wish. It’s nice to know we will have a set way of playing tomorrow, refreshing after the shambles of previous years

The Brazilian love in does my nut in. As Danny Baker tweeted
'For all my life broadcasters/media have fawned, swooned and grovelled at the very mention of Brazil. For the first half of my life it was warranted. These days young folk must be so confused. #AnotherAveragePerformance'
It just made me realise that at 47 years old I don't think Ive actually lived through a genuinely thrilling Brazil team (to be fair in '74 I was 3, I had other interests) A load of superb players, but never a great 'team'. An in the meantime the media continues to wank their cocks off because once they were good.

Many would argue ‘82.
Brazil are my prediction to win the World Cup. Mostly in the hope that it doesn’t happen.
The reality is that it’s up for grabs this year.
