Its stupid how people get their kicks. Stabbing people has to be the most ridiculous thing I have heard of in "football" yet it seems to happen so often.
Had it been three Roma fans being stabbed in England then we would probably be kicked out of European competition again despite the fact that almost nothing serios has happened of that sort in years I heard that the Police stood back and watched as the Ultra's started on the Boro fans and then when the Ultra's left, the Police waded in on the Boro fans. :evil: |

Why do they have 1986 on their badge? 20 years isn't that long a history! :-))( I think the 1986 on their badge is due to the fact they almost went bust then, seem to remember Ayresome Park was locked shut for a while. Like most clubs they managed to just pull through, got promoted from Div 3 with us and Bournemouth in 87 and built from there. |

The game at the CG v Boro...was a classic which doesn't often get recalled...Boro had a very tidy side for Div 3....with fellas like Pallister and Ripley who went on to play for England ...Tony Mowbray and Colin Cooper who both played a long time at a high level and the legendary Bernie Slaven. Just to prove they were in fact lower league they had ex Melksham striker Archie Stephens up front. The crowd at the CG was about 3000 bigger than that at Ayresome Park, around 12,000....and the side led by Calderwod showed its fighting spirit to hold on to a Chalkie first half goal. |
