Just because they want to speak to him doesn't mean we will let them, or indeed that he is interested. Hopefully it means we should know either way by the weekend. HuntWright did quite well on Saturday if he was to go anyway

Absolutely agree Bob.
But while I'm not questioning Salford's or Wellen's integrity, I'm sure informal words have been had in other managerial appointments before the official approach.
Even then though they've not always meant the manager goes.

Happens all the time doesnt it. He even said recently he had been offered 3/4 jobs that no one else knew about. Salford can fuck off though.

For me this is a real test of Power valuing the Club going forward and not just a compensation wedge into his pocket. I will find it very hard to back him unless he rejects any approach or Wellens resigns. Any other League one team would instantly reject any approach.

HuntWright did quite well on Saturday if he was to go anyway It makes you wonder why Salford have waited so long to appoint a manger or even approach Wellens if true unless the isolation has held things up

If Wellens goes, he’s a bit of a cunt in my opinion.

It could be more family related if he does go

Back to back promotions/league wins with 2 clubs would enhance his stock more than a mid table finish in league one.

But what do you do if Wellens says he wants to talk to them.
Other then reputation damage and potentially lengthy court proceedings what's to stop him resigning?
I get what you are saying blinkpip, but my opinion is once a manager wants to go the best you can do is get as much cash as possible..

Steve Bruce has done it all his career! More worrying on Facebook the rumour is Wellens to join Salford and ex Tranmere manager Michael Jackson will be announced the next Swindon manager during lockdown

When he left I always thought he’d go up a level - not to some hobby club with no fan base, no history.
Where’s the kudos in that?
At least chief cunt on here will be happy.

Maybe Covid has a lot to do with and not seeing his family very often
