Standing should be allowed in the Town End.  It is ridiculous, mindless and petty that it is not.  We took nearly 2000 to Torquay, 98% of whom were standing.  Were there any injuries or fatalities as a result?  Hmmm....no I don't believe there were.

In Italy they have bench style seats which allow you to stand up/sit down/ do what you want.  I've seen them first hand and they work fine.  No one gets injured, no one dies.

Atmosphere, electric?Huh?  Eh???  It's been a muted atmosphere this year according to my hearing.

I never said the atmospehere was electric.  I meant if we all sat down it would hardly help create a good atmosphere!  I agree it has been shit this year!

Exactly OST.  I have been and seen matches in Austria etc and there is never any problem.  They even have flairs etc which helps create a cool atmospehere.  It is just the bloody government/FA etc jumping on the old bandwagon when it all came to light after Hillsnrough etc!

I'm "one of those knobs who stand in the townend" I have always stood at football and always will. I have been brought up standing on terracing and will continue to stand now if I wish.

I'd like you to call me a knob to my face blinktwat because there would be no chance of you standing.

The man makes a good point.

Pieface do you stand up at football through choice or due to health reasons.  That could be your excuse this Saturday if a steward asks you to sit down.

Good point Jan.

I would have been stood up anyway but this will legitimise it.
