I'm not sure Rovers could have coped with two visits south of the river in one season.  Would have been good to see if we could have filled the Wedlock stand for that one, and you can make one hell of a racket in there.

Is there a chance that with Rovers season likely to be over - by not giving a decent away allocation thee will be town fans all over the ground if the Gas don't sell ot the home area?

Posted on thr brfcforum and got some pretty good responses. As Id expect really, usually found Rovers supporters knowledgable about the game. A lot of them saying its pathetic weve only been given 1200 tickets.

DAS enclosure looks good. You play it by ear. Wouldnt fancy that Blackthorn, but some of the others look well do-able.

You'll be alright that far out, The Hogshead is near there which I recommended before once.  the only pubs to really avoid are The Cabot, Bulldog, Victoria and maybe The Duke of York and Welly, although I think they're scarfers pubs really.

AFAIK the parking is limited though there is some street parking to be had away from the ground, just watch out for residents parking zones.

From where i live, to Gloucester, on the M5, off at junction 16 and straight down the A38 into Bristol.

M4 > M32 > off at J2 stright up the road for me. Even takes you to the away end going that way

Anyone who knows Bristol well knows Parkway is more than two miles from the Memorial Ground. It has got to be at least a 45 minute to an hour's walk away. Don't even consider getting off at Temple Meads, its even further.

There are some smaller stations between Temple Mead and Parkway, but for the life of me I can't recall what they are. I imagine they'll be busy will Gasheads though.

Montpellier seems to be the stop people are talking about IIRC.

I'm just gonna train it to parkway then bus it to filton avenue and drink on gloucester road.

You can do - it can be cheaper - but it usually involves booking specific train - given the police prescence that day I'd be a little cautious about how much freedom we're gonna have to wander and catch trains as we like.  Pay on the day shoudl be fine - it might be cheaper to get day returns etc.

or look into a group 4 ticket - 4 travelling together can save a few quid

You're talking a few hundred yards' diffference to be honest, Ralphy ... I used to live near there.

Montpelier is better as there are way more 'safe' pubs on the way up Gloucester Road in that direction.

The Hobgoblin, Bipshops' Tavern and stuff are quite near the station and I've never had any trouble in them at all ... The Anchor, though, which is a bit further up I'd probably avoid as I've seen a few fights in there before now.

Anyone travelling to Filton abbey wood theres a couple of quality pubs on the way to the ground, the wellington and the inn on the green. both ale pubs by the looks of it for the old man ale drinking contingent on here... that'll be me then.

Sizz is one of the nicest guys you will meet sonic.  I deal with many 'cunts' through work and he certainly isnt one.

He got up at 6am to queue up for tickets, if someone was too lazy or not organised to get one then they deserve to pay £7 extra.  £25 for a ticket isnt too bad, ralph paid that.
