I bumped into a Reading fan last week, ended up having a good chat with him. He asked me whether or not we sings songs about them as, apparently, they often sing songs about us. According to him, and he goes to the Majedski quite regularly, rather a lot of Reading fans still see us as their main rivals.
I've only heard the Bradford fans sing

I've only heard the Bradford fans sing And bloody loud they are too! Also did Reading moan about Bradford's pitch at all? Because theirs is pretty pisspoor.

Yeah, you're right. My daughter in law's brother is a Reading fan and he asked me the same thing.
Said they never entered our consciousness
To be fair, they used to. Before Oxford existing (pre-1960ish), the Reading rivalry was taken very seriously...according to books I've read anyway. I don't think it would make much at all for the rivalry to fire up if we had a few consecutive seasons playing in the same division again.

Elm Park used to be fun. They had that funny in-ground turnstile thing where you could pay to get in the home end from the away end. Weird set up, that

Wonder if that would be seen as a dive in Burslem?

It was always a laugh at a Reading. Now Reading have the most plastic, boring irritating fans out. Boring bastards the lot of them. You only have to look and listen at them ..... Pathetic !! Fucking hate them, less than Oxford granted.

Did Reading really just have some "comedy" music played over the PA whilst there was a fan on the pitch, or did I just imagine that in my half awake stupor?
