Tucked away just down the road from the station.
Cracking selection of ales, craft beers & ciders, nice ambience, friendly staff & great background music.

About to partake in a pint of Sonic Titan cider.

Charters - Peterborough. Good selection of real Ales & walking distance to London Road when we play them again.

Greyhound - Bromham, really good for food, and the only pub left in the village where I grew up.

For foodies, the Blue Bell at Glinton, really nice for food and has guest beers

The Corn Dolly, Bradford, West Yorks

The Butcher's Dog

Both Driffield, East Yorks

The Hunters Arms, Linton/Lynmouth, Devon

The Sheffield Tap, Platform One, Sheffield Train Station

All of these have good well kept beers, loads of guest ales or craft beers, think nearly all of them accept dogs {and not just the ones you've pulled}, most of them are slightly dishevelled, a bit tatty and have onsite microbrewery or close links to local produce/beers.

Also appears I only rate pubs that begin with ''The''. Although that must be one of the most common starting words for a good chunk of watering holes  :pint: :pint: :pint:

The Soho Inn, Studley (a lot of good memories from there). Now called the Black Dog Inn. Reminded me of the Slaughtered Lamb back in the day  :D

Glue Pot - Saturday diversion before a game.

Corn Dolly is a must....last evening game they were doing Lilleys Cider!

They do very bloody lovely ''Spicy Toasties'' as well as a decent Beef Cob {sorry, that's bap or roll} too. Although I think you might clear the place out of you had a few of them Flash  :D

The Three Owls- Irish Town, Gibraltar 1985- 1987. Instigated many a hangover in there.

Followed closely by finishing the evening in either Bucaneers or Penelopes. Great 80's clubs for the discerning serviceman.

Used to like 'The Barge' at Seend, before it was fucked up.

Jim & Dilys were the slightly eccentric but lovely landlords.

Some bloke took it over and spent alot of time and money getting it refitted and then fell ill i believe.

Yep, does good Nepalese food. Nice people.

Yep, have been a couple of times and was very good both times

Used to work just up the road from the French Horn.
Many a lunchtime pint, meal & Christmas do in there in the 90's.
The longstanding couple that ran the place packed it in I  think.
Of the temp landlords after that one were the most unassuming & harmless elderly couple imaginable, but delivered such a ferocious chilli con carne that the memory of which brings tears to the eyes even now.

Love Charters, great setting and a must do prior to any visit to London Road.

Aye, any of the "Tap" type pubs within or just outside stations are well worth a visit.
Doncaster, Harrogate, York & Manchester Piccadilly are all good.

Dave Peeley ran it when I used to frequent but that was the mid 70s.

Beehive, Glue Pot & Drink Valley are a good mini pub crawl before a home game.
Difficult to miss Flash with the hat. Will say hello one day.

In days gone by working in Oxford loved The Star in Rectory Road with my mates

Harvester @ W. Swindon in mid to late 80’s must have spent a shit load of time and Money in there.

The Check Inn Wroughton used to serve the best chicken in a basket.

The Swan and Riverside Hotel in Tewkesbury and The Cotswold in Cheltenham late 70’s and early 80’s.

Yep, the only one of those mentioned above that I haven't done is Harrow Gate ;)

Went to Gloucester City v South Shields last week ( a Geordie walking footballer mate in Stroud has a few shares in South Shields) and we had a session in the Pelican behind the cathedral. Old school with a log fire. Going back.

Scruffy Murphy’s in Birmingham is my favourite pub in history ever bajillion.

As an away pub,always loved The Springbok outside Loftus Road.

The Tom Cobley at Crediton in Devon, is probably THE best pub anywhere, CAMRA pub of the year a few times and great food and brilliant beer with 5 real ales on every day.

2nd to that is the Hop Inn in Old Town, superb.

I find the hop a bit stuffy. But that’s probably my fault rather than the pub’s.

Going to AFC v Morecambe today.

Glue Pot style boozer, Summer Lightening and a range of traditional Pork Pies etc.

Betting Wobbly for one is familiar.

I have a favourite pub I have never visited. The Waggon & Horses in Beckhampton. I often see it driving to Swindon and think it looks amazing.

Bit more 'modern' I guess than a lot of the pubs suggested here, but really enjoyed my trip to the Tiny Rebel pub in Cardiff on Saturday. Great range of interesting craft beers and more up my street in the Pale Ale range as more refreshing and less hoppy. (I'm sure they had some more hoppy stuff) The place is slap bang next to the principality stadium so I imagine gets rammed when internationals are on.

The Woodin's Shades is a cracking little pub just outside Liverpool Street station in London.

Been to the Woodin's Shades & sat in Tiny Rebel, Cardiff as I write.

Location on the phone is showing as Temperance Town which sums things up not very accurately at all.

Not visited The Sultan though. Pre AFC Wimbledon pub crawls are out of my hands, but Hopback pubs are always worth a visit.

Always enjoyed my local The Kicking Donkey in Harwell... great people good food and draught lager.
Went back recently only to find its been closed and converted into a residential f#cking cottage.

Lack of levelling up money for adequate WiFi coverage prevented posting earlier.

In the unlikely event of anyone stopping off in Mansfield for anything other than football then The Garrison pub is highly recommended.
Nice selection of real ales & craft beer.

With a nod to Tommy Shelby, "there's no rest for me in this world. Perhaps in the next."
