I hope it is LJF or LJ-F..I'd be disappointed now if it turned out to be JFL or J-FL  and it was all just an administrative cock up by STFC (perish the thought)

Haiti sounds like an interesting place, not that I know much about it. The BBC repeated Alan Whicker's classic 70's documentary recently when he went to see Papa Doc Duvalier. I have a feeling his son was Baby Doc Duvalier. That may be wrong but I really hope it's not. Haiti were in the 1974 World Cup and lost 7-0 to some one. Steely Dan had a hit with Haitian Divorce.

There you go. That's all I know about Haiti.

Oh yeah, they all practice Voodoo.

That's it.

Trivia question what is the origin of the term "Steely Dan"?

Is Yinka under a Voodoo spell?

Yes..From a strap on dildo in the Edgar Rice Borroughs novel, The Naked Lunch.

Apparently.

Wasn't his best game today but he did well against Cardiff and WBA so I'd be happy enough for him to start next week

I haven't seen the film but the book is impossible and nasty.I've tried to read it but its very strange and a hard slog.Kerouac is far more readable.

I read it many years ago, so many I can't remember much about it, other than it juxtaposes Burrough's preoccupation with good and evil, human passion and sensuality.

The Soft Machine also gave its name to an interesting band...who've been lost in the sands of time.

SY good find about Lesc....Guingamp produce some very decent players for somewhere the size of Highworth...I've a mate who supports them, he was well excited as they won the French Cup earlier in the summer.

Big throw, pace, power, good engine, cool temperment - JFL has the lot.

Surely only a matter of time now until DW receives a call from Jairo Rios Rendon, the Haiti national coach.
