Although it did have more than a hint of a "cheerio - no hard feelings".
Essentially though it could be just another quiet day at the Advertiser.
After watching the clips on swindon-town-fc.co.uk it really reminded me how important Fraser Digby was - we've never replaced him adequately.

In short - Do I want him to stay? - YES. Do I think it would be right to cash in if a higher league club comes up with a 'big' offer - YES

Sounds like a bit of agent talk to get an improved contract on the table now or face losing him for nothing next summer.
Selling your number one keeper has always been the sign of a club putting its arse before its elbow and I wouldn’t want to see the big man go unless it was for a ridiculous bid that couldn’t be turned down.
I'd wager Fatbury's Apprentice sock that he's here at the start of the season.

All sounds fair enough to me - they just want to know what the club's long term plans are. It didn't exactly suggest that Brez is going to be handing in a transfer request.
I'd be sad to see him go as I think he is a fantastic keeper when at his best. It has to be said though that any big offer for any player has to be accepted when you're at this level, and for the right offer we'd be silly to keep him

capable of unbelievable saves and handling is generally exellent. but lacks comunication skills and kicking is ropey.if we can get a decent wedge for him then so be it.

lets hope he stays, its all well and good people saying 'cash in on him' but we wont get much for him, no matter how much we rate him.
Players with a year left on their contract dont go for much money, he can talk to other clubs for nothing in 6 months time....
I dont think selling any of our current crop with improve the squad and we should (without going OTT) offer Brez what he wants and get him signed. If he's got a 3 year contract he is worth more if you wish to continue being a selling club.

Every player has a price, if a club is talking about signing him for silly money and its a move to a higher division it would be good for Brez and Swindon. Sell one player to buy three or four always works for me. Smith is an able deputy, I cant agree with you Reg about Smith being better than Brez, he is though above average for this division and steady keeper.

I think Phil Smith is better....cash in now. Agreed, but 2 provisions: 1. Sign a decent back-up keeper 2. It's a fair amount, don't bite whoever's hand off at the first sniff of an offer

6 figure sums were discussed with clubs during sturrocks reign here for brez. smith would not command a large fee if one at all. that ends the who's better debate imo

Fact is....we never replace players when weve just sold one,he should stay,he would be top notch if we made the championship.....then maybe cash in for some decent money.
