On the radio he sounded good. The commentary said, certainly first half, said he was winning everything in the air. I wasn't at the game so this was not first hand info

It's true, he was winning a lot of headers in the first half. All the ones from the crosses/corners/free kicks were decent ones out of the box but anything further it was anyones guess where it was going, he seemed to have 50 pence pieces on his boots as well, lost count of the amount of times he sliced it out for a throw and to top off his night he ran into Flint, gifting them the winner.
I'm sure he's had better debuts let's put it that way.

Ward is a very poor signing at best is only capable of playing hoof ball that's assuming is hoof's manage to at least stay on the pitch. It was his fault for their goal as he could quite clearly see Flint going for the ball, instead ends up running into Flint. Very poor & a very bad signing. He subbed Wes for having a bad game after 20 minutes yet he let this muppet stay on for the full 90.

It's the same after a game and booing if we draw or lose. At Oxford the guys in front of me were booing and giving the players shit and was just pointless. If I ever (rare as rocking horse shit) think a performance doesn't warrant an applause then I just fuck off home and remain silent.

Fuck that shit, embarrassing team performances deserve booing sometimes. Wouldn't do it to an individual player, and last night was extremely disappointing but not worth booing by a long chalk.

Shit I heard some tits booing after drawing at home last season! Maybe they were messing around, would hope so.

I have booed once, after a home game in 10/11, christ knows who against but this it was the game of Hart's famous 433 formation.

I don't think it's been justified in this season or last at all.

That was the Notts County debacle.  I think the majority of the crowd booed in that one.  Season tickets were being thrown and all sorts.

I've been tempted to do that a few times. Never would though, the next game might be alright.

Is it ok to boo players in a game?

Is it ok to castigate a player after a game for a shit performance?

Is it ok to mention a player made a mistake which cost us a game after the game, while also pointing out they are learning still and need to keep focussed?

ps, Ward has played consistently at a better level than we are used to in recent years and been seen as a rock at Millwall.  It may be jumping the gun a little on my behalf, but it could just be that he is an ok footballer who had a shit game?

i recall booing duke once during a game. i don't recall why or when but i remember feeling so bad afterwards that i wanted to run on the pitch and give him a hug

We all did that to Drysdale, but that was a man who lacked footballing skill and application/effort, the latter being more important than the former.

I think it was the amount of money we paid (£300k?) for such an untalented footballer that I found hard to forgive. I remember seeing him getting off the team bus wearing glasses and wondered if he ever wore contacts during the games!

I often wondered how the hell we paid £340k for him and before that Newcastle paid Watford £425k for him then sold him before he played a single game for the Geordies.

They bit our hand off there!
