Why are we batting? Im not watching it as im at work, so dont know what the pitch is like or the weather up there but surely if its the same as here the overcast conditions should mean we should bowl first? Its due to get sunnier over the weekend which is when we will then be bowling? :?

We won't be bowling at the weekend,it'll all be over by then  It is overcast according to TMS,i think its just because the WI bowling has been so poor that Virgil imagines we'll be able to withstand the onslaught.Hope he's right! |

He's just going through a loss of form at the moment,admittly its a bit of a long lasting slump,but he does do a hard job in opening the batting he was always going to fail at some point.Don't think he should be dropped,but thats probably just my middlesex bias coming into effect.

Strauss has got to stay,You have to have some form of consistant team if you are going to succeed ,its to easy to keep chopping and changing.He is a class batsman and will soon return to form.It will be interesting to see how Harmy and Ryan Sidebottom perform.
