Blackpool away Woo hoo! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Tails on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:31:59 Bury at home it is then
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:34:39 I predict Southend at home.
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:38:32 Been leaked apparently It was leaked this time last season....and it was leaked wrongly.Blackpool away Woo hoo! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: JayBox325 on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:43:32 I'd love an early Blackpool away fixture but I'm supposed to be playing in a 5aside tournament on Sunday the 9th so I wouldn't be able to make a weekend of that.
Hopefully bollocks then. Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:49:33 When is the first game, the 8th or 15th?
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: horlock07 on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:50:15 Bury at home it is then There was a period in the 90's that we always seemed to play Port Vale at home very early in the season every year - it was always a game I got to before I went back to University! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:50:50 When is the first game, the 8th or 15th? http://www.football-league.co.uk/global/keydates.aspx Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:54:30 Doesn't make too much difference this season, as it's bound to be somewhere norvern, or at least miles away.
Certainly the only real interest in this list, will be to see how far we'll have to travel on Boxing Day >:( Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: horlock07 on Monday, June 15, 2015, 09:59:48 Doesn't make too much difference this season, as it's bound to be somewhere norvern, or at least miles away. Certainly the only real interest in this list, will be to see how far we'll have to travel on Boxing Day >:( Probably Blackpool - although I suspect they will have Fleetwood on Boxing Day! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:03:37 Certainly the only real interest in this list, will be to see how far we'll have to travel on Boxing Day >:( Apparently we did complain last season (the one just finished) to the FL about this, lets see if something has been done to correct our away run on Boxing Day......don't hold your breath.Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Batch on Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:05:56 they said they'd "look into it", which probably means completely ignore it
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:12:08 Apparently we did complain last season (the one just finished) to the FL about this, lets see if something has been done to correct our away run on Boxing Day......don't hold your breath. I seem to remember that the FL's response to this was " don't blame us governor, you asked for it" THe last home Boxing day fixture was in 2006....Diamond Mike time, not sure why the club, would request away fixtures for Boxing Day, but that seems to be what happened. Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:31:42 http://www.football-league.co.uk/global/keydates.aspx Hope for an away game first then as out of the country on the 8th! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Summerof69 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:08:11 Bradford at home first, with the Pikey's at home on Boxing Day

Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: FormerlyPlymRed on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:14:12 Considering how northern the league is this year, I'd say the fixtures look alright for us really, only Donny away on a Tuesday which could be a problem to get too
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Bewster on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:20:30 Same fucking teams, same depressing fixtures :badmood:
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Summerof69 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:21:02 Blackpool away on 3rd October, just after the tourists have left.
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:24:37 I'm working in Northern Ireland that day. Pretty gutting seeing as I live 25 minutes from Bloomfield Road and it's a nailed on 3 points.
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: pauld on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:26:56 Wait, we're at home on Boxing Day? Isn't that illegal or something?
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: horlock07 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:27:00 Bloody hell the north west ones handy for me are clustered towards the start of the season!
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:36:23 Well it isn't Blackpool away then ::) quelle surprise.
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: singingiiiffy on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 08:58:39 My first thoughts were fuck me we might have an easy start on paper and could get right up the league, and then I carried on through each month looking for the hard games, this is a really shit league 1. Last years side would win this no problem, cmon power get building some good and let's get out
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: JayBox325 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 09:14:57 The problem for us is we suck against shit teams. Crap teams that sit deep and focus on not conceding always end up getting an almost accidental goal due to being forced into a counter or whatever.
So this could be a painful season. Either that or we pull our shit together, recruit some defence and do well... Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: horlock07 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 09:16:06 Has anyone done a file for Outlook yet?

Comes to something when the pikies are classed as a derby for this fixture :headhurts: Only 2 midweek away games yet 4 at home, one more home one if we get past round two of the FAcup :hmmm: Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: kerry red on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 13:16:15 Didn't all this hoo-hah with the Pikies start on a Boxing Day?
Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 14:21:23 Didn't all this hoo-hah with the Pikies start on a Boxing Day? Nope it was a near end of season game in May. Remember it well.http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/MatchCentre.asp?MatchID=19790143 There was a slight spark in the first game between us and the Jills in March of 79 but it all kicked off in that game in May. Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: Wills1 on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 14:49:05 Boxing Day may give them the chance to turn up for a change. Last 10 years they tout it as being their biggest fixture but still they never show.
I remember a few years ago there were about 100 Town in Town by 3.00. They never showed. Anyway things have moved on since then and we are of course a family club ! Title: Re: Opening fixture Post by: jayohaitchenn on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 15:17:46 You're a twat.
