It was leaked this time last season....and it was leaked wrongly.

I'd love an early Blackpool away fixture but I'm supposed to be playing in a 5aside tournament on Sunday the 9th so I wouldn't be able to make a weekend of that.

Hopefully bollocks then.

When is the first game, the 8th or 15th?

There was a period in the 90's that we always seemed to play Port Vale at home very early in the season every year - it was always a game I got to before I went back to University!

 Doesn't make too much difference this season, as it's bound to be somewhere norvern, or at least miles away.

Certainly the only real interest in this list, will be to see how far we'll have to travel on Boxing Day  >:(

Probably Blackpool - although I suspect they will have Fleetwood on Boxing Day!

Apparently we did complain last season (the one just finished) to the FL about this, lets see if something has been done to correct our away run on Boxing Day......don't hold your breath.

they said they'd "look into it", which probably means completely ignore it

I seem to remember that the FL's response to this was " don't blame us governor, you asked for it"   THe last home Boxing day fixture was in 2006....Diamond Mike time, not sure why the club, would request away fixtures for Boxing Day, but that seems to be what happened.

Hope for an away game first then as out of the country on the 8th!

Considering how northern the league is this year, I'd say the fixtures look alright for us really, only Donny away on a Tuesday which could be a problem to get too

I'm working in Northern Ireland that day. Pretty gutting seeing as I live 25 minutes from Bloomfield Road and it's a nailed on 3 points.

My first thoughts were fuck me we might have an easy start on paper and could get right up the league, and then I carried on through each month looking for the hard games, this is a really shit league 1. Last years side would win this no problem, cmon power get building some good and let's get out

The problem for us is we suck against shit teams. Crap teams that sit deep and focus on not conceding always end up getting an almost accidental goal due to being forced into a counter or whatever.

So this could be a painful season. Either that or we pull our shit together, recruit some defence and do well...

Has anyone done a file for Outlook yet?

Apart from most being boring, can't complain about when individual fixtures happen. I.E Blackpool and Southend away, Jills at home etc.

Will either of those upload to outlook? (yes I know I am an IT Luddite!)

Not the opening fixture, but what bright spark at the Football League has us away at Milwall  (Oct 17th) the same day O*ford are away at Orient?  Different parts of London obviously,  but train travel could be "interesting".

Computer fixtures has fucked up there. Aren't we paired with Oxford?

According to the Football League when questioned over the fixtures last year, we are one of a few clubs with "no natural pairing" whatever that means ....

Oxford will always be an unnatural pairing, lot of that goes on over there

There was a slight spark in the first game between us and the Jills in March of 79 but it all kicked off in that game in May.

Boxing Day may give them the chance to turn up for a change. Last 10 years they tout it as being their biggest fixture but still they never show.
I remember a few years ago there were about 100 Town in Town by 3.00. They never showed.

Anyway things have moved on since then and we are of course a family club !

Can't ever make a home Boxing day game so I have been loving the drought since 2006!

I miss 7 home games this calendar year due to various weekend plans and midweek matches fan of the year fans.

I'm unlikely to be able to go either, so feel a bit the same.  Disappointed that all the other games over the Christmas and New Year period are away as well.

Not much to look forward to. March instantly struck me as an important looking month, wherever we'll be in the league.

I'm not sacking off my firstborns first Christmas for Gillingham.

I'm happy, it normally a git to get away at Christmas.
