Interesting, my cousin is married to a 'Muff season ticket holder and he thinks hes pretty shit, not much more than a bit player for them who plays well few and far between. Says hes all about pace and not enough about ability, weird how fans see very different things in the same player.

He did also say that Crichlow has been awful.

Yep we all see things very differently but, that said, there appears to be consensus on Crichlow.

So sad. Don't wish it on anyone. I was so close to it, and would hate anyone to find me like that. Poor bloke must have been struggling.

Totally agree....but please seek help from someone, even if it is me, before thinking about it again!

I concur. Same to goes to any of you on here (even those I famously don't get on with or those who may have me on ignore).

To not want to be in this world anymore is never good but people have to realise that more folk genuinely do give a damn and care about them than they may think.
If strangers on an internet forum can express an offer of help/to listen and understand the further pain it would bring then we have to consider just how much that would also impact the ones even closer to us x

It’s very sad that anyone finds themselves in a position where they believe that is their only option

Addictions of any kind ruin lives. But there’s help out there for almost every kind. It’s a tragic end for a really nice guy.

I’m a little surprised the club hasn’t held a minute’s silence or worn black armbands for an ex player.

Don’t want to be insensitive, as it’s truly sad that he felt it was the only way out, but presumably this is because of the way he passed.

Would we expect the same recognition for Paul Batty or James Brophy when they pass, as both played for us more often than Joey.

I just thought it was always recognised when an ex player passes on - irrespective of how long they were at the club.

Obviously not the case.

No, quite noticeable that the previous owner did nothing to recognise the passing of Peter Noble.

It was also quite apparent that we were not going to recognise the passing of Jamie Vincent this season until Steve Finney also passed and there were questions being asked of the club

Think you are rather comparing apples and pears, not convinced that under Power the club would have acknowledged the passing of Don Rogers if he had passed!
