I think Blackers well and truly stuffed it up today .. along with Shah and Solanki .. not to mention another poor effort from Strauss

well done to Collingwood

weren't you advocating him being used as a pinch hitter only last week?

yeh but 3, ffs, he should have come in at 5 or 6, not bloody 3. blackwell at 3 is just condemnig yourself to defeat. He doesn't knick singles, he is bloody slow!! he just needs to have time to knock himself in and hit the final runs, not making half the team total, its not what he does.

He did screw it up though today, but wasn't the only one.

so would would you have moed down the order? flintoff or collingwood?

blackwell has to bat opener or 3 (so he can hit over the top) or 8 or below because he is a fat slogger flat track and utterly useless attack bully

after thinking more in depth, i think him going in 3 was sensible. I think he would be dropped if he could be, and im not surprised. I can't go no backing him much longer  :soapy tit wank:

fuck off, blackwells been the best bowler and it wasn't his fault we didn't get the runs. none of the top order have batted well enough.

there's no way we should drop blackwell, as dmr says he's bowled brilliantly here - and he did so in pak as well. he's a dead cert to be in the WC squad for his bowling alone, if he get his fat arse in gear and hit the odd 30 it would be useful though

he's also fielded well, got good hands.

fletchers always banging on about having 2 of the 3 skills, on a good day blackwell does all 3. as boeta says, a dead cert for his bowling alone.

not sure i agree on this, ok he's safe enough but he's not fast, agile nor does he posess a particularly fast pinpoint throw. so by being able to catch he can do 1 out of 4 neccessary skills to be a good fielder

he's only ever shown it against shit second division bowling on taunton's flat as a pancake wicket and tiny little boundaries, to be honest

yeh but its not as if everyone does well and smacks runs....he has also hit runs against other teams (i know its the 2nd division but once again, not everyone does well)
