Quite pleased with these two seemingly as the final candidates... I'd have preffered somebody with experience, but a lot of those types of candidates are unobtainable at this time of the season or already snapped up (Grayson)
Wright's a bigger name and I quite like him, so on that basis I think I want Wright, that kind of appointment might help to make Jed and co slightly more popular also, thus avoiding massive over-reaction which would inevitabely follow if we appointed Buckle, Newell or someone similar.

MacDonalds odds are drifting out a bit (1/6), Wise and Wright coming in (both 11/2), with Gregory appearing out of nowhere (20/1).
If Gregory gets it I'm out of here and won't be seen anywhere near the CG whilst he's still there.

That makes good reading
Agree. Very reassured by that. Out of the frontrunners he looks like the best appointment to me. My fear with Wright is we get the Paolo like circus without the tactical nuance to go with it. Would certainly have passion though, i'll give him that as a possible +1.

Wright does not come across on the tv as manager potential.
John Gregory would really worry me, hope that's not true!!
MacDonald for me seems the best bet

Gregory was decent at Villa if I recall.
However his recent managerial history is a bit bombscare -
On 8 December 2009, Gregory was appointed the manager of Israeli club Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.[4] He led them to relegation.
On 18 May 2010 Gregory signed a 3 year contract with Israeli Premier League Club F.C. Ashdod. He resigned from Ashdod on 18 April 2011, with the club facing the possibility of relegation.[5]
On 13 June 2011, Gregory was appointed the manager of Kazakh club FC Kairat from Almaty, Kazakhstan.[6] Kairat survived relegation at the end of the 2011 season to the second tier of Kazakhstan football.
Gregory had his contract as manager of FC Kairat terminated in December 2011, and in April 2012 was paid $120,000 in compensation.[7][8]

Wright was coaching at Franchise for a while wasn't he? I have no qualms with him being MacDonald's cone gatherer, but I would be more reassured if MacDonald brought people that he has worked with in the past with him.
Wright as manager - it's a ridiculous suggestion. Why on earth would he be considered ahead of the other (supposed) applicants?

I actually would't mind a Wright and MacDonald combo. Wright on his own would really worry me though.

Ian Wright is a fucking idiot... i wouldn't let him near any position of authority in any walk of life. So if it's him or MacDonald, it's obvious who to choose for me!
