but I note that a few of them on there seem to think we would be wanting a bigger name and that there would be a bit of uproar if we appointed him....interesting Hmmm

There would be.

"WAH WAH! I STILL EXPECTED PDC TO RETURN!"

"WAH WAH! HE'S NOT FAMOUS!"

"WAH WAH! I'VE NEVER HEARD OF HIM!"

"WAH WAH! WHO?"

etc.

If he is our next manager, will there be STFC paisley cravats in the club shop? I would have to have one.

As someone with zero power to make this hypothetical scenario happen...

Yes, yes there will be.

And flat caps.

Fantastic, I could revive the David Essex look for my mid-life crisis.

We are guaranteed a certain amount of pissing and moaning whoever we appoint, it's just a question of how much. There would be one or two cranks moaning even if we appointed Adkins. You would get about 5% moaning if it was Tisdale, if it was Buckle or Newell I would have to go and live under the sea...

I'd be happy with Tisdsale.
Young, up and coming manager, got them promoted from the Conference to League One (OK, they then got relegated to League Two), but I think he's done all he can with them given the resources they probably have and would be a good time for him to move on to a new challenge at a club with (hopefully) more resource available to him.

The Adver lot seem to have some potential news

Old manager related?

New manager related?

Board related?

Something new?

Nothing at all?

It's late so it's probably a statement.

Di Canio has a habit of only releasing statements post-watershed, so the timing fits.

You mean this:

Sam Morshead ‏@SamMorshead_SA
Out of the Adver Sports Awards and flying back to the office.

Probably just to add the award winners before it goes to press Smiley
