No, and it has been rubbished by Jed.

Oh I assumed that as it had become gospel and a couple of people had said it was to happen FACT that it must be fact.  Cheesy

I really do think the next appointment is as critical as it was when Hoddle left, at the time the board went for better the devil you know and appointed Gorman and we all know what happened then, we need to keep moving forard and build on the good work Paolo has done

I don't know Piccaretta and I dont know what sort of a coach he is, I think he is fine short term but depending on the ambition of the new board we need to be serious about this.

We all know that once Paolo finds a new club - and he will in time - then his staff will follow him

If rumours of Paolo trying to previously sack Piccareta are true, then he may not be wanted by Paolo, or even want to join him.

He might also be wanting a shot himself and why not? I remember it widely reported him and Paolo share their ideals with regard to the style of football and standards of fitness.

Sounds like a like-for-like with less drama.

My gaffer mentioned Roy Keane this morning.

That would be class, another headcase.

IIRC correctly Piccareta took his coaching exams with PDC so he is certainly qualified, at least in terms of coaching badges and stuff.

Probably some value in laying that on the exchanges then.

What is it with people who want ex-players as manager? They hardly ever work out - and as for Calderwood - no thanks.

Just because they played for us dont automatically make them good managers
They do for us.

Reminded me of this song for when Holloway came to watch us in the Town End:

There's no Holloway
There's no Holloway
All he came to do is watch us play

Blur - There's No Other Way

Wouldn't say no to Nicky Barmby or Steve Kean.

Paolo has the UEFA Pro qualification, Piccareta has the UEFA B qualification.

Steven Pressley does not appear on the Skybet odds, but is 5/2 favourite on BetVictor. Bit random.
