That is all.
Just our of interest - on what do you base your assessment? Not saying you're wrong but for all we know he could turn out to be the most amazing manager ever.

You can say that about anyone - at this stage it comes down to gut feelings and past experience.

I'll see your aaaaargggh and raise you a FFS

I think that the best way of summing up this thread after reading all 14 pages is that opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.

What a clusterfuck of opinions, with some arseholes thrown in for good measure!

You can be absolutely certain that whoever they appoint will get at the very least two aaaaaargh's and a FFS - That's the best possible scenario. That would be for Paul Tisdale - If it was Graham Westley......let's not go there *shudder*

You misunderstand me.  (I wasn't being clear, I know.)  I wasn't trying to make a point about Hockaday at all, rather the 'ex player factor'.  This idea that someone's suitability for the manager's job is somehow enhanced because we paid his wages for a few years as a player in the 1980s.  It's absurd.

To be fair, Hockaday does at least deserve a hearing - but not because he's an ex player.  THe Fjortoft suggestions make me cringe, however.

Some bloody awful shouts and a mongy thread if ever there was one. I can't see us buying out a currently employed manager. No idea who it will be and couldn't give a shit to he honest.

Has to be Nigel Adkins, or Owen Coyle which is won't be, my outside shot to be new gaffer would be Mark Yates of Cheltenham Town.

At the moment we do not have a clue who the next manager will be, Any good company would have a plan for this so i would agree that the next Manager will be someone out of work,
This remains a long list of potential candidates some good some ok some no way
We will have to see
A name i have mentioned earlier Nigel Adkins keeps coming up great track record at Scunny and Southampton however with the cloud of new mangement and the money situation , do not think this will happen.
A name not mentioned and is out of work and lives locally is Keith Curle however i am not sure about him as he is Warnock mate
