You misunderstand me. (I wasn't being clear, I know.) I wasn't trying to make a point about Hockaday at all, rather the 'ex player factor'. This idea that someone's suitability for the manager's job is somehow enhanced because we paid his wages for a few years as a player in the 1980s. It's absurd. To be fair, Hockaday does at least deserve a hearing - but not because he's an ex player. THe Fjortoft suggestions make me cringe, however. |

At the moment we do not have a clue who the next manager will be, Any good company would have a plan for this so i would agree that the next Manager will be someone out of work,
This remains a long list of potential candidates some good some ok some no way
We will have to see
A name i have mentioned earlier Nigel Adkins keeps coming up great track record at Scunny and Southampton however with the cloud of new mangement and the money situation , do not think this will happen.
A name not mentioned and is out of work and lives locally is Keith Curle however i am not sure about him as he is Warnock mate
