Title: How do I get Man Utd tickets - flame away
Post by: Batch on Sunday, June 14, 2015, 20:00:42
Ok TEF, we must have a closet Man U fan or two here.

A mate turns 40 this year, one of the things he wants to do is go see Man U play. Wanker - but he's a mate so what can you do.

So any ideas on the easiest/cheapest way to do so?

TIA.

I don't think it's as tricky as it used to be, is it? Probably have to become a 'member'.

Think your best bet is always cup matches, domestic or european.

Though Man Utd force some (or all?) of their season ticket holders in to buying cup tickets, but that might make it cheaper/easier picking them up on that ticket exchange thingy.

There's a guy at work who usually sells tickets through the intranet. I'm not sure if it's his season ticket and they're games he can't make, but he sells tickets semi frequently. Tickets are usually about £40 each. If you have details of when you want to go, I can see if he's selling for a fixture at that time.

Thanks Jimmy, much appreciated.

May well be in touch as/when we firm things up, his birthday isn't until end November.
