Quite an interesting read on the above, reading this Bournemouth have done fooking well all things considered!

Have they ever said what happens if someone fails the "fit & proper" ownership test and they already own the shares in the club? Do they have to sell them? Do they just have to step back from any involvement in the club?

Briatore obviously fails the test but I can see him getting away with it on a technicality. If he does, the rules will be re-written and tightened so the next offender won't be so lucky.

That is a great article.

Swindon have fallen into the kick them while they are down bracket in the past - I wonder if that would still be the case with the current board seemingly having the nouse and finances to challenge any league ruling.

Willie Carson failed the fit and proper person test on the day it was brought in (for being on the board when the club went into administration on two occasions), but nothing was ever done.

Like much of what comes from Mawhinney and co, its all hot air. There is no stomach at the FL to enforce this rule and there never has been.
