Will he choose Wimbledon or us i wonder then! To be honest it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth if he goes for Wimbledon!

Where would you rather live? London or one of it's lovely leafy suburbs, or Swindon. Hmmm

If I was him, I'd turn us down every time.

Not trying to be negative...Just trying to see this objectively.

Douglas was in the cotswolds, Sheehan was in Cheltenham, Cheltenham and Cirencester are easy options for him to live in if need be

you'd seriously want to live in the smog filled world of London over the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds?

I'd rather live as far away from london as i can. Hate the place

Yep and look how that has ended up. Location should have fuckall to do with it,it should be about wages and football simple as that.

yes money has a lot to do with football now a days but if someone said to me you could be a professional footballer earning a modest wage (lets say £1k per week) i would snap their hands off.

For me living the dream is far more important

Want to live comfortably in SW London on a League 2 footballer's wage?  Good luck with that.

If quality of life is an important factor, we have a definite advantage.

If he is as ambitious as he says he is, surely coming to a promotion chasing team would be more appealing than going to a team looking to consolidate

Not at all, location is a massive part of equation when looking at any job.
Also agree with Ardiles....some areas of SW London are most pleasant, make no mistake, but could Adam Birchall afford anything really nice there? Doubtful

Location is a bullshit excuse.

What it really means is I dont have the balls to come to Swindon and work harder than I would at any other club because Di Canio doesnt accept anything less

Has Birchall himself made any comment on this though?

DV is (could be) spot on though.

If the players feels he'll get an easier ride elsewhere then, depending on the player, he might choose to go there instead.
