I'm going through all my old red town tops for tomorrow. Got to be red tomorrow aint it. last few times I've bought blue or white for some reason hence my choices are limited!

-dgi sackcloth special (nicked off my bro don't like the diamandis connection)
-lotto plain red with central badge and white collar. but this ones turned slightly pink
-Loki Burmah offering with multiple small burn holes down the front (back in the day!!)

also found the roundneck castrol one from macmahon era hate this top

Just in case he reads this....

Yes Charlie boy, you do look a little like Sophie Webster off of corrie, but you're gonna be a star son, what happened at Wembley will make you a better player and I hope you're banging em in for town for years to come. One of the most natural finishers I've seen in a red shirt, and you'll be playing on a pitch for most of next season that won't cause the ball to bobble up just as you're about to pop the ball in the top corner.

Chin up son, we all love ya!

Heard from someone who is close to some of the players that while they were out drowning their sorrows Saturday night, some prick gave Charlie a load of verbal abuse about the missed chance. Left the poor kid in tears.

Is if he wasn't feeling bad enough.

Thats horrific news, actually made me sick to the core and also made me make a little bit of sick in my mouth too. I really hope DW took Charlie Boy aside and gave him a bit of fatherly, I think having players like Lucas and Greer in the squad will help that little legend out.

Chin up Charlie boy, I think I speak for every single Tef'er, Plastic and everyone in between when I say, we ALL love you to bits and you've been an absolute revelation to have in our side. I've got absolutely no doubt that one day you'll bang in a Wembley goal or two, maybe ina different kind of white shirt, who knows?!

Just posted on the bobble thread before I saw this.

Idiots saying he bottled it and giving him abuse, can piss off.  My work colleague knows him and his family quite well and apparently he is absolutely devastated by it, refusing to take phone calls and see anyone.  The picture on the front of the Adver today says it all.  I feel so sorry for him and hope he gets over it and realises how important he is to this club.  Chin up Charlie!

I may have done. Except in my case the ball would have been going hopelessly wide and the divot would have diverted the ball back past the despairing dive of the keeper ;)

I took it to be a show of support for Charlie to demonstrate his overall contribution to the team and to very subtly tell anyone who may have been blaming him in any way, to fuck off.

Yep

"It just wasn’t really his day. Austin didn’t really put a foot wrong and you can’t blame him for ‘the miss’ - that was the fault of the pitch.  He did well to get into goalscoring positions against a resilient Millwall defence, and on another day may have grabbed a couple of goals."

The thing about Austin i've noticed is he's completely down to earth. In the interview with him before the game he said to hear the Swindon fans singing his name was quite overwhelming at first.

Maybe to have some idiot turn on you is something completely new to him too? He'll come back stronger for this though I believe.

Chin up Charlie! We know you're feeling down, but your disappointment could be the making of you!

Use this guy as a role model to toughen up mentally and to show the world you mean business.

When you score your 1st goal next season, just let it rip!

Funnily enough, I had thought of that when thinking about Charlie's miss - It wouldn't surprise me if Psycho actually had a quiet word with him at some point - what with having watched him for the U21's and all that.

Would probably do him the world of good.  He''s obviously a player who takes things to heart, we've seen that week in and week out and I reckon he'll need a fair bit of support from those around him and afar in the next couple of weeks to stop blaming himself.

If Charlie was going to move on so soon (he isn't), I think he'll be aiming a little higher than London's 9th biggest side.  He'll be with us for at least another season, and hopefully longer.

I had the pleasure of her sitting two seats behind me on the coach to Wembley.  I knew who she was anyway, but within 5 minutes the whole back half of the coach did and within half an hour we'd all completely had enough of her.  Complete idiot, talked at the top of her voice and should have thought a bit about some of the things she was saying, bearing in mind who most of her conversations revolved around!

He was also down at the CG when we played Exeter, as they were playing at Reading the next day.
