Probably not the most well written post to point out a spelling mistake...

I’m curious as to who this Macnamee character is.
Seen as we’ve never ever had a player by that name
If you genuinely don't know then you probably need to have a bit of a word with yourself given how obvious it is. Or are you just being a tit for the sake of it?

Bloomfield Road - Sealed the title in 1996 backed by thousands. Sorry to say I missed it but I'm sure there are plenty of posters around who were there. It's a shame McMahon was the manager but it wouldn't be Swindon without there being a turd in the punch bowl.

One of my abiding memories is of Mark Walters kicking Beauchamp in the head during a game.
This never gets old. Beauchamp was brutalised during this game. The kind of treatment you'd be incensed about if the boot was (metaphorically) on the other foot. Definitely a few scores settled that day. I'd forgotten how close Mike Ford went to getting an equaliser at the end.

Mike Ford was the course tutor on my L2 course a few years back, really nice bloke. That's my claim to fame!

Didn't he live in Swindon while he was captain of Oxford? Stratton, maybe? Rings a bell.

Think he was when I knew him, then left, didn't realise he'd gone back there. I may have that wrong

He always had a lot of time for Swindon fans while living in Swindon, always came accross as a nice bloke who enjoyed a bit of banter and revelled in playing the villain tongue in cheek.

Tbh, I got to meet Joey Beauchamp quite a bit through greyhounds - he had them with John Peterson who trained at Oxford.
He’s a right nice fella.
