Completely understand if you are set to lose money on a pre booked holiday. That's a dilemma for sure. I just don't fancy getting on a plane at the moment. I'd say the same about a bus or train too. Not for me at the moment.
Particularly as people on buses seem to think wearing a mask is a choice rather than mandatory. Transport for London are definitely not forcing people from what I see on a daily basis. Kind of confirms my thoughts that people that live in London just do what they want, bunch of cunts.

Hmmm, just logged into my holiday booking and there is some kind of waiver I need to agree to before proceeding. I think it's to do with short notice changes, screenings etc.

Sadly you are right, but they seem to take it up a notch in the Capital. Lockdown has been an eye-opener for us. Really strongly thinking about selling up our flat in London and moving to a house somewhere commutable - mainly because our neighours are selfish posh students who have zero awareness that the world doesn't revolve around them.

We're going down to Beer in Devon in August.
Happy to sit on the caravan decking for 6 days and stare at the sea from afar.

There is something just so nice about the sea, so calming! Sounds lovely.

It's a nice little spot. We usually go down to Beer every year for a big family weekend with mates rates but this year it's too close to the arrival of the baby for us to attend so we're going earlier and I'm really looking forward to it.

Similarly, we've booked a cottage near Newton Abbot. We'll do a bit of walking, maybe a bit of paddling if we find some of the quieter beaches, but I'm happy to sit in the cottage and do nothing for a fortnight.

Nice. If you get good weather that takes some beating. Similarly, we've booked a cottage near Newton Abbot. We'll do a bit of walking, maybe a bit of paddling if we find some of the quieter beaches, but I'm happy to sit in the cottage and do nothing for a fortnight.
Loads down there for you to do and beaches don't get too busy. Teignmouth and Shaldon just down the road are smashing places with loads of beach space.

Seems like it's a waiver against claiming anything if Covid 19 affects the booking. Is that right?

Haven't been to south Devon for years, looking forward to it. Must remember to make the cream teas the right way round though...

Gays creamery (if anyone is unaware of the place this is not a joke) do amazing take away cream teas you can eat at your leisure if you go to Dawlish. And it's always cream first (awaits Batch's response )

That's why the Devon and Cornwall retro music festival was cancelled. They could agree who went on first the Jam or Cream!
